  8. DESCRIPTION
  9.  The chat command allows you to "talk" keyboard-to-keyboard with
  10.  the operator of this NOS system. When you select this function,
  11.  a new  window  will be  opened on the  operator's  console, and
  12.  whatever  you type will be  visible  there.  If the operator is
  13.  present, and types something in return, it will be sent back to
  14.  you.

  16.  When you wish to  terminate the chat session, type  the  escape
  17.  character on your keyboard, and then press <ENTER> or <RETURN>.
  18.  The default escape character is "CTRL-X",  which  means to hold
  19.  down the <CTRL> key and press the <X> key simultaneously.  This
  20.  escape character may be changed to whatever you prefer by using
  21.  the "E[scape]" command.
